Getting ready to buy or sell a home? Make sure the property is in good condition!

As a fully insured and Certified Home Inspection Company Adler Home Inspections will visually inspect the interior and exterior parts of the home. We look at areas like:  foundation, structural components, attic, windows, doors, roof and rain gutters, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and basements.

What are we looking for?  On the outside we look for foundation cracks, missing siding, roof components and any damage that could lead to water or pest infiltration. On the inside we check for any damage to walls, cabinets and windows. We look for water leaks. We will randomly check outlets and the electrical panel box. We make sure the HVAC system is working properly.

Depending on the size and condition of the home our inspections generally take two to three hours.

Do I need a Radon Test?

Adler Home Inspections also offers Radon testing. Radon is an odorless, colorless, and tasteless gas that is naturally created from the decay of radioactive elements, such as uranium, which can be found in different amounts in soil and rock throughout the State. Radon is responsible for over 20,000 lung cancer deaths per year according to government agencies.

In Pennsylvania, the DEP & EPA recommend all homeowners and home buyers have their homes checked for radon.

Is water testing important?

Yes, water testing is recommended, especially if you have a well. The EPA recommends testing your well water annually for total coliform bacteria, nitrates, total dissolved solids, and pH levels.
